The King of Iron Fist Tournament is back. Fans on PS5 now have the opportunity to check out Tekken 8 for themselves via a demo. These days, demos are fairly uncommon for new AAA video games. So, it’s exciting that fans will be able to get hands-on with Tekken 8 over a month before its full release. But how do you download it?

To download the Tekken 8 demo on PS5, head to the PlayStation Store. It is currently featured under the “What’s hot” category and included on the front page. After selecting the demo, you will be taken to a screen to choose which version of the game to purchase/download. Simply select the free “TEKKEN 8 – DEMO”.

If you can’t find the demo on the front page of the PS Store, use “Search” and type in “Tekken 8”. The demo should appear and you will be able to download it.

Tekken 8 demo size (PS5)

The Tekken 8 demo is 23.7GB on PS5. Given this is only a small portion of the full game, players can expect the finished product to be much larger.

Tekken 8 demo release date for Xbox and PC

Although the demo is currently only available on PS5, fans on other platforms shouldn’t worry. The demo will be coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC (via Steam) on 21st December.

Tekken 8 demo character list

The demo only includes a small number of fighters to play as. That’s because it is designed to give players a taste of the game without giving away the whole thing. Naturally, you’ll have to purchase the full version of Tekken 8 to gain access to every fighter.

Below is the full list of characters included in the Tekken 8 demo:

  • Paul
  • Jin
  • Kazuya
  • Nina

What does the demo include?

The demo includes preview versions of the story (The Dark Awakens), Arcade Quest, Player vs Player, and Player vs CPU modes. A gallery is also included which features summary movies for the previous Tekken games.
