This Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III guide explains what the Megabomb is in Zombies.
MW3 Zombies (MWZ) is a major change from the typical CoD Zombies format we’ve known for 15 years. Instead of just surviving rounds, it’s now focused more on missions and collecting loot.
In MWZ, the story is split into three acts, with missions divided into different levels. Players will explore all parts of Urzikstan to complete objectives. Some missions are straightforward, while others require finding specific items or creatures that aren’t easy to locate.
One mission like this is Most Firepower, which is a Tier 2 mission in Act III. It requires players to Pack-a-Punch their weapon to level 3, and then kill 100 zombies and a “Megabomb” with said weapon.
However, many players are confused about the so-called Megabomb. So, what is the Megabomb and where can you find it?
What is the Megabomb in MW3 Zombies (MWZ)?
The “Megabomb” described in the Most Firepower mission briefing refers to the Mega Abomination creature. It’s not clear why the briefing calls it a Megabomb – it doesn’t appear as such in the actual game.
The Mega Abomination is a huge monster that is one of the most deadly in the Urzikstan exclusion zone. It has a huge amount of health and some incredibly powerful attacks in its arsenal including a laser beam which locks onto players.
Megabomb location
There are multiple Mega Abominations in Old Town (the Level III/Red area of the exclusion zone).
One can be found at the plaza outside Nahr Bathouse in the north of Old Town. Others can be found around the area and at the bridges into/out of the Red zone.
How to kill the Megabomb
The Most Firepower mission requires you to defeat a Mega Abomination with a Level III Pack-a-Punch weapon.
To make things easier, be sure to use an Epic (Purple) or Legendary (Orange) Aether Tool or purchase a Legendary (Orange) weapon from the wall in the Red zone. At Level III Pack-a-Punch, these weapons will give you the best chance against the Mega Abomination.
On top of this, be sure you’re fully kitted out before confronting the Megabomb. Go in with a Self Revive, a Three-Plate Vest, and Decoy Grenades. Also, make sure you have at least Juggernog, Stamin-Up and Quick Revive.
