It’s November 2023 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (MW3) is here. Its pre-season is well-underway and lots of players are quickly progressing through the ranks. But with so many players comes a high level of competition. As such, I’ve been spending time in multiplayer experimenting with different weapons to find out what the best loadouts are right now. Naturally, everyone wants to have the competitive edge. That’s where the MW3 multiplayer meta (most effective tactics available) comes in.
Meta guns in multiplayer are weapons that provide the greatest advantage due to superior damage and accuracy. However, it’s worth noting that the meta regularly changes due to frequent weapon balancing updates that are released. With that being said, there tends to be a handful of weapons that repeatedly come out on top and cement themselves as player favourites.
With the much-anticipated launch of MW3, I have tested out the new weapons on offer and can now share my top picks. You can check out my selections for the November 2023 MW3 multiplayer meta below.
Call of Duty MW3 multiplayer meta explained
Before I discuss the current multiplayer meta, it’s important to mention that what works best for me and others won’t necessarily work best for you.
It’s dependent on a number of factors including your play style, experience with different weapon classes, and unlocked attachments.
Often, if you don’t have everything unlocked for the “meta” gun and simply don’t have time to grind the attachments, you’re best going for something that you do have everything unlocked for.
With that said, it is always worth levelling weapons up to unlock all the necessary meta attachments if you’re serious about competitive play. If you don’t, you’re putting yourself at a serious disadvantage.
For clarity, only Modern Warfare III guns will be included in this article. However, many MW2 weapons remain viable in the new game’s multiplayer.
