Zombies in Modern Warfare III (MW3) isn’t quite like the undead experience players are used to. Rather than the familiar round-based game mode, MWZ has been built on the foundations of Warzone‘s DMZ. In that mode, players scavenge for weapons and equipment and must complete missions. Squads are also limited to three players. With CoD Zombies typically catering to four player teams, it’s reasonable that fans are asking if Zombies in MW3 is also quads.

Call of Duty Zombies has a loyal fan base. It has its own complex storyline and some fans have been playing it since the very beginning. And if you’re considering playing MWZ, of course you’ll want to squad up with all your Zombie mode buddies – not just two of them.

While it is possible to have squads of four, five or six in DMZ, you can only begin a game with a maximum of three. Any additional squad members had to be recruited in-game.

But does it work like this in MWZ and is it possible to have four players in a squad? Here’s everything you need to know.

Is MW3 Zombies Quads?

MW3‘s Zombies mode only allows squads of up to three players (trios). Quads is not supported.

However, just like in DMZ, it is possible to recruit others into your squad during a game. By doing this, you can have up to six players in your squad.

While this may be useful for completing missions in-game, it won’t allow additional friends to join you. That’s because there is no way for them to join the same game as you, even if you begin matchmaking at the same time.

Therefore, for now, players are forced to restrict their Zombies squads to three players in MW3. It is currently unknown if support for quads will be added to the mode.
