This Baldur’s Gate 3 guide explains how to change party members.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has finally arrived in full, and it is exceeding all expectations. Its remarkable accomplishments have captured the gaming community’s attention, propelling it to the very top of Steam.

The widespread acclaim for the game can be attributed to its story, tactical gameplay mechanics, and immersive role-playing features.

Furthermore, the game demands strategic thinking from its players. Instead of providing simple solutions, Baldur’s Gate 3 encourages players to take their time in solving puzzles and considering their choices.

One of the more demanding aspects of the game is grasping its mechanics. Mastering the fundamentals can be momentarily challenging. For example, even something as simple as switching out party members may leave you scratching your head.

In Baldur’s Gate 3, if you have four people in your party, you will need to sub one out so that someone else can join.

So, if you want to change the characters in your party, how do you do it?

This is how to change party members in Baldur’s Gate 3:

To change party members, click the campfire icon and select “Long Rest”. This will take you to your camp. Once there, speak with any party member and ask them to wait at the camp. Then speak to the character you want to join the party and ask them to accompany you.

Select “Long Rest”.

Asking characters to wait at the camp will not dismiss them completely or prevent them from joining your party again. They will simply remain at the camp until you are ready for them to join you.

This is useful as it allows you to switch characters out depending on your needs and objectives.
