For those who don’t know, Generative Fill allows users to add elements to their image with the use of simple text prompts. This includes the addition of items and people or even a complete change of background. What’s more, it can simplify tasks that previously required a fair amount of Photoshop nouse.

As with most things in Adobe Photoshop, finding the new feature can be tricky. However, most users won’t even have access to it in their version of the popular editing software. Thankfully, it is easy to get ahold of.

Being a new experimental feature, Generative Fill isn’t available in the latest stable release of the software, version 24.6. Instead, users wanting to get advantage of the new AI tool have to download a different version of Adobe Photoshop.

This is how to get Generative Fill in Adobe Photoshop: To get the new AI feature, you must download Adobe Photoshop (Beta) version 24.7. Follow the steps below to download the beta app:

  1. Open the Creative Cloud app.
  2. From the taskbar at the top of the window, select “Apps”.
  3. Under “Categories” on the left side, select “Beta apps”.
  4. From the list of desktop apps, select “Install” next to Photoshop (Beta).
  5. Once installed, the beta version of Photoshop will be available to use as a separate app.

    I have version 24.7 beta and generative fill does not appear. the same thing happens to other users using version 24.7,
