Taya Valkyrie made her surprise debut in AEW on 15th March 2023. She immediately confronted TBS Champion Jade Cargill, signifying her intention to claim the title for herself. The following month on the 26th April edition of Dynamite, Taya fought Jade for the TBS Championship in a losing effort. However, Valkyrie was banned from using her finishing move. But what is Taya Valkyrie’s finishing move and could we see her use it to defeat Jade Cargill at Double or Nothing 2023?

Valkyrie is best known for her time in Mexican Lucha Libre promotion AAA. She is the current AAA Reina de Reinas Champion in her fourth reign. She is also known for her time in Impact Wrestling and Lucha Underground, as well as for a brief stint as Franky Monet in WWE NXT.

On the 19th May edition of AEW Rampage, Jade Cargill successfully defeated two opponents. This brought her win-loss record to an incredible 59-0. However, she was ultimately attacked by Valkyrie who hit her finishing move on Jade. Taya Valkyrie vs. Jade Cargill for the TBS Championship was then made official for Double or Nothing.

However, viewers less familiar with Taya Valkyrie may be wondering what Taya Valkyrie’s finishing move is and if it will be enough to bring Jade Cargill’s winning streak to an end.

What is Taya Valkyrie’s finishing move in AEW?

Taya Valkyrie’s finishing move is an elevated double chickenwing sitout facebuster called “Road to Valhalla”. It is identical to Jade Cargill’s finisher “Jaded”.

The move has been used previously by a number of different wrestlers. Perhaps most notably, Beth Phoenix also uses this manoeuvre as her finishing move which is called the Glam Slam.

Of course, it remains to be seen if Taya Valkyrie will use the move to defeat Jade Cargill at Double or Nothing 2023.

However, Jade is just one victory away from going 60-0. So, it seems the time may be right to crown a new champion. After all, Jade’s reign, while dominant, has been underwhelming.

Here’s hoping that Jade and Taya have a great match at Double or Nothing which kicks off an exciting reign for Valkyrie as the new TBS Champion.
