Season 3 Reloaded of Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 is here. It has significant mid-season improvements despite its smaller size compared to a typical full season update. These upgrades include a brand new multiplayer map – Alboran Hatchery – a new underground area for Al Mazrah in DMZ, Warzone 2.0 Ranked Play, and Raid Episode 03. It is also introducing two new handguns and a new lethal: the Throwing Star.
The Throwing Star previously appeared in the Resurgence game mode on Ashika Island during Season 02. However, it will now be available for use across all of Warzone and Modern Warfare II. Similar to the classic Throwing Knife, this lethal throwable offers a number of significant advantages that make it well worth unlocking.

The Throwing Star is unlocked by getting 50 kills using a Throwing Knife. Once unlocked, the new lethal can be used in Warzone, Modern Warfare II multiplayer, and DMZ.
Weapon Description
The official description of the Throwing Star explains why it is a better choice than the classic Throwing Knife:
Faster, with a longer range and a higher stock than the Throwing Knife, the Throwing Star requires a quick doubletap to kill, or one well-placed star to the head. Victims also receive a wounding effect on all non-lethal impacts, giving a greater chance of success on a follow up hit. The perfect complement to a stealth loadout.
