Forza Motorsport is the upcoming entry in Xbox’s long-running racing series. The last game, Forza Horizon 5, launched in 2021 to stellar reviews and fans are eager to see what the revived “Motorsport” sub-series can offer.

Forza Motorsport is slated for release in 2023; however, a specific launch date remains unconfirmed. Interestingly, the official Microsoft Game Dev twitter account has implied that players can expect to get their hands on the racing-sim this summer.

In a tweet posted on 2 May, the Microsoft Game Dev account said: “Who else is ready for summer?”. This came in response to a tweet which featured an image of a Ford GT (one of Forza Motorsport‘s confirmed cars) and the hashtag “#Forza”.

In the replies, fans were hopeful that this cryptic post implied that the came will be coming out between May and August. “Summer release for Forza?”, wrote @GarryRoddie.

Quote tweeting the Microsoft Game Dev post, @Ozymandias88_ said: “Forza Motorsport this summer? I hope it’s not shadow dropped as well. I mean it’ll be a cool moment but the game deserves some more marketing and hype pre-release imo”.

According to an official blog post, Forza Motorsport “is built to take full advantage of the Xbox Series X|S consoles”. It will feature “over 500 of the world’s most incredible cars” and “20 beautiful environments”. The game will be available on PC and Xbox Game Pass, as well as Steam, Microsoft Store, and console on release.
