Dead Island 2 has finally arrived after a decade-long wait. It’s a great action RPG filled with ample amounts of zombie-slaying chaos.

In between all the undead action, players will spend a significant amount of time searching for unique keys to open lockboxes.

Lockboxes contain special loot and items for players to collect, usually in the form of rare weapons. If you want to access the goodies inside, you need the right key. Kill the zombies corresponding to the lockboxes to get the relevant keys.

After meeting Roxanne and Ricky at Jessie’s house as part of the main quest, head back to Michael’s house. A zombie called “Michael’s Protégé” will be roaming around near the front door. Kill it and it will drop Michael’s Safe Key.

Use the key to unlock the safe. Inside is a rare Defiant Hunting Knife weapon.
