The wait for Season 3 of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 is almost over. Fans are excited for all the new content set to launch on 12 April. But when will the MW2 and Warzone 2.0 Season 3 preload be available?
Players are always able to download seasonal Call of Duty updates early. It’s useful because new seasons mean hefty downloads. And thanks to preloading, players do not have to wait to dive into new CoD seasons when they launch.
Typically, players are able to download seasonal updates a day or two ahead of time. But this can vary, and often the big question is exactly when preloading will become available prior to a season’s start.
When can you preload Warzone 2.0 & MW2 Season 3?
This is when Warzone 2.0 and MW2 Season 3 will be available to preload:
Activision has confirmed in an official blog post that Season 3 will be available to preload from 12 April at 9am PT. In other timezones, it should become available at the following times:
- 11am CT (US)
- 12pm EST (US)
- 5pm BST (UK)
- 6pm CEST (most of Europe)
- 2am AEST, 13 April (Australia)
- 5am NZDT, 13 April (New Zealand)
That means players will be able to download the large seasonal update just one hour before its launch on 12 April at 10am PT.
Season 3 will bring a huge amount of new content to Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2. Players can look forward to Plunder, WZ Ranked, Massive Resurgence, battle royale gameplay enhancements, fresh DMZ content, new multiplayer maps, weapons, operators, and much more.
It remains to be seen whether Season 3 will satisfactorily address player criticism. And Activision will no doubt be hoping for a player count uptick after a recent decline. However, a new season of fresh content is sure to spark some renewed interest in Warzone and multiplayer.
