Hogwarts Legacy has several different types of puzzles, including the mysterious ‘Merlin Trials’. The Merlin Trials were created by the legendary wizard who was himself a student at Hogwarts.
One of the Merlin Trials that players will encounter in the game is located in the Keenbridge hamlet to the south of Hogwarts.
There are a few different types of Merlin Trials that you will become familiar with as you progress through Hogwarts Legacy. However, owing to their different locations, each one is slightly different even when the fundamentals are the same.
The one in Keenbridge involves moving a giant stone ball into a hole in the ground.

How To Solve The Keenbridge Merlin Trial In Hogwarts Legacy
Each Merlin Trial begins in the same way: finding a spiral plate embedded in the ground. After using Mallowsweet to activate the trial, you can start to solve it.
Moving the ball into the hole is pretty easy – simply use the basic cast or Accio to move it around.
However, the difficult part comes in finding both the ball and the hole which can be particularly time consuming.
This is how to solve the Keenbridge Merlin Trial in Hogwarts Legacy. On the east side of the river next to the bridge is a hole for a large ball. You can find the ball just west of the Merlin Trial in Keenbridge behind Fatimah Lawang’s hamlet shop. Use Accio to pull the ball over the nearby ramp and across the bridge. Guide it into the hole.
Once the ball has been dropped into the hole, the Merlin Trial will be complete.
