This guide explains how to save in Hi-Fi RUSH.

Without trailers to set unrealistic expectations, a surprise release can be a good thing. Although, had there been any, Bethesda and Tango Gamework’s Hi-Fi RUSH would certainly have lived up to them.

The new action-adventure game launched today with a surprise release on Steam and Xbox/PC Game Pass. And players have taken a liking to it immediately. It currently has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam with almost 500 reviews.

Hi-Fi RUSH follows wannabe rockstar, Chai, in a God of War meets Guitar Hero adventure.

After visiting a nefarious tech mega-corporation to partake in a shady experiment, Chai ends up with a music player embedded in his chest.

Our loveable part-human-part-iPod hero must now fight his way across a musically synchronised world to earn his freedom.

Everything in Hi-Fi RUSH moves with the beat. And that includes its gorgeous colourful environments and fast-paced combat.

The rhythmic fighting can be difficult to grasp at first, but it’s a blast once you get the hang of it. Suffice to say, it could end up being one of 2023’s surprise hits.

One thing players want to know about Hi-Fi RUSH is how to save as it’s not immediately clear.

So, let’s go over how to save in Hi-Fi RUSH

How To Save In Hi-Fi RUSH

Hi-Fi RUSH is separated into chapters – or “tracks”, as it calls them. Between each track, Chai gets to visit the Hangout that he shares with fellow rebel Peppermint and cat 808.

At this point, it’s likely that you will want to save before embarking on the next stage of Chai’s adventure.

However, the game doesn’t make it clear how to save in Hi-Fi RUSH. And that has created some confusion about saving in the game.

How to save in Hi-Fi Rush

This is how to save in Hi-Fi RUSH: Hi-Fi RUSH uses an auto-save feature. Progress automatically saves at regular checkpoints throughout the game, including at the Hideout. There is no manual save option.

To quit the game, simply select “Return to Title” from the pause menu. A prompt will then appear saying, “All unsaved data from your last checkpoint will be lost.” At this juncture, select Yes to return to the title screen.

Fear not, all your progress up to the most recent checkpoint will have been saved automatically. So, you don’t need to worry about manually saving every time you quit.
