This guide explains where to find the DRC Building 21 Access Card in Warzone DMZ.

Warzone 2.0 launched last month after a huge amount of speculation and anticipation. And players have spent lots of time exploring Al Mazrah and getting to grips with everything it offers.

The revamped Call of Duty battle royale mode has changed the game in a number of ways by introducing new features such as the re-jigged looting system, the 2v2 gulag, and the split circle.

More subtle changes like reduced time-to-kill, aggressive AI, and the introduction of two and three plate armor vests have also mixed things up. And all these changes have resulted in a mixed reaction from players. Some love it, and others really don’t.

Still, one new feature that has received almost universal praise is the new DMZ game mode.

DMZ drops squads of up to three players into random locations around Al Mazrah. The aim of the game is to collect as much valuable loot and weaponry as you can before extracting within the given time-limit.

One sure-fire way to get yourself some valuable loot is to make use of the many keys scattered around the map.

The keys unlock special loot caches that can range from individual lockers to rooms to entire points of interest.

With the start of Season 01 Reloaded on 14 December, a mysterious new key was added to DMZ in the form of a unique access card.

It’s called the “DRC Building 21 Access Card” and its name suggests it will grant players access to the enigmatic Building 21 Infinity Ward are teasing.

Many players are now wondering where to find the DRC Building 21 Access Card in Warzone DMZ and what Building 21 is. Keep reading to find out…

What is Building 21 in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 DMZ?

Building 21 is a mysterious “Defense Research Center” exclusive to DMZ. It’s being teased by Modern Warfare II developer Infinity Ward. Little information has been shared about the facility to date, aside from a vague mention in an official blog post.

“New keys have appeared in Al Mazrah… but where do they lead?

Its location is classified. Its benefactors are unknown. But one thing is for certain about the clandestine biological laboratory codenamed Building 21: only the strongest Operators may survive, let alone access one of the deadliest areas of DMZ. Players will need [REDACTED] to access [REDACTED].

With this great risk comes great reward: high-tier Contraband found throughout the building, especially in safes and special areas that require keycard access. What other secrets await you in this facility?”

Official Call of Duty blog post

Infinity Ward recently confirmed to Charlie Intel that Building 21 wasn’t included with the Season 01 Reloaded update.

Players will apparently have to figure out its location for themselves and no official announcement is planned for when it goes live.

What we do know is that Building 21 isn’t part of Al-Mazrah. It’s a separate location entirely. And it appears players need the DRC Building 21 Access Card to gain entry to the facility.

Infinity Ward has also stayed quiet on how and where to find the access card. Unfortunately for players, getting one isn’t entirely straightforward and may take a few attempts.

This is where to find the DRC Building 21 Access Card in Warzone DMZ. The DRC Building 21 Access Card can be found in one of three ways.

Firstly, players can capture a SAM Site. Once you’ve done this, the SAM Site will shoot down a cargo plane which will drop a supply crate.

The location of the Supply Drop will be marked on your Tac-Map. Find it and it may contain the access card, although this isn’t guaranteed and may take multiple attempts.

Secondly, players can kill a Helicopter Commander. You can find a Commander by looking for the white skull icon on your Tac-Map. You can destroy the helicopter by using standard weapons or the SAM Site.

This will also drop a supply crate which may contain the access card.

Lastly, you can kill and loot enemy players that already have the access card.

Whichever method you use, remember you must exfil with the access card if you want to keep it for when Building 21 goes live in DMZ.
