Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2‘s campaign is here! And fans have been getting stuck in and having a blast with its fun and varied missions.
It’s obvious in the new game that Infinity Ward know what players want from the campaign. That’s because there’s an abundance of excellent stealth sections.
One is an infiltration mission which sees John “Soap” MacTavish gaining entry to a cartel mansion. Another is a survival mission which again features Soap, but you need to scavenge materials to craft items in order to stay alive.
And these two missions – “El Sin Nombre” and “Alone” – have something in common. They both feature safes.
These safes are hidden away, and it’s possible that many players will miss them. Once you’ve found them, you need to input the correct codes to access the goodies inside.
Players also need to open the safes to unlock the Gentleman Thief trophy/achievement.

Safe #1: El Sin Nombre
This is where the safe is in El Sin Nombre. The safe is located in Diego’s room. After going up the stairs in the cartel mansion, head northwest. There will be a doorway on your left (to Diego’s room) and the elevator ahead on your right. Enter Diego’s room. There is a closet near his bed – open this and you will see the safe.
Safe #2: Alone
This is where the first safe is in Alone. The safe is in the coffee shop just after you’ve disarmed the shotgun trap and encountered the gravely wounded man banging on the door. Go immediately left and approach ‘No Entry’ door. You need to have a pry tool to open it, so ensure you’ve crafted one. Once inside, you will see the safe in the corner.
Safe #3: Alone
This is where the second safe is in Alone. This safe is almost immediately after the previous one. Drop down through the hole in the coffee shop’s railing. Turn left and go through the door to the outside. Go left again and enter the mechanic’s shop. Go to the back of the garage. There’s a small room on the left. You will see a safe in the corner.
