Call of Duty has been living in the shadow of the 2019 Modern Warfare reboot over the last two years. But that’s all set to change with the upcoming launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta is split into four phases. The first ran from September 16th-17th and was for pre-order customers on PlayStation consoles.
The beta will then opened to all PlayStation players from September 18th-20th.
After a short break, the beta returned on September 22nd. It is open to pre-order customers on Xbox, Battle.net, and Steam, and all PlayStation players.
From September 24th-26th, the Modern Warfare 2 beta will be open to everyone regardless of platform and pre-order status.

The exact method to access the Modern Warfare 2 beta will depend on your platform of choice. But it won’t be difficult to find and download so you can play it before it launches worldwide on October 28th 2022.
As of September 23rd, the open beta is currently only available to pre-download. That means it can’t be played until 24th September but it will be ready to go.
This is how to download Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta. The Modern Warfare 2 beta will be open to everyone – regardless of platform – from September 24th-26th. To download it, follow these steps:
- PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 5 – Download available via PlayStation Store.
- Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S – Download available via Microsoft Store.
- PC – Download available via Battle.net and Steam.
If you can’t locate the Modern Warfare II beta within your platform’s digital store, simply search “Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Beta” in the store and it should appear.
